I haven’t posted in awhile as I have been busy and in kinda a minor funk.
I have been dealing with what we all deal with at one time or another but it has bunched up on me.
I know I am not alone. We all have been there. I’ve been there before, on different days, in different ways.
My father-in-law has had some health issues to struggle through, old friends, their grandparents and even friend’s kids passing away. Phone call after phone call , Facebook posts and emails of friends sick.
Some very sick.
Good thoughts and prayer request are darn near a daily occurance.
Even Mary Ann and I fight with a health issues or two from time to time.
The “wee folk”, the Grandkids also keep Mom’s running to the docs to fix the newest bug going around.
We just escaped out of town for a quick week end up North only to have limited heat and unable to pick up the Michigan football game or the Tiger playoff game.
We return to town to find out our furnance at home won’t fire up for the first time this Fall.
Don’t we all take for granted our health, our family’s health, simple things like being able to watch our favorite sports event, and heat in the house way too easily ??
I know I do and often have to step back and fix my thinking.
Not only shouldn’t we take all this for granted, we also need to feel gratitude for all the litttle “stuff” in life.
A new job, new house or a nice vacation often causes us to pause and give thanks for these events.
The “little” stuff often escapes our gratitude. It is all taken for granted.
Don’t take it for granted.
It all disappears from time to time.
Sometimes it all disppears at the same time.
Sometimes when it’s gone, it’s gone forever.
Let’s be sure we are grateful forever.
Why not start today ?
